The XUV 3XO ZNG's published ex-showroom prices run from ₹9.99 lakh to ₹12.27 lakh. They are a national launch reference, not the amount a buyer in every city will pay to drive home. Registration charges, state tax, insurance, selected extras and finance terms can change the bill substantially. We have not invented a universal on-road figure: the useful answer is a repeatable quotation method.
Begin with the right ex-showroom line
| ZNG grade | Announced ex-showroom price |
|---|---|
| MX Edge | ₹9.99 lakh |
| REVX Edge (O) | ₹10.79 lakh |
| AX5 | ₹11.19 lakh |
| REVX A | ₹12.27 lakh |
Get a quote for the exact grade, colour and city. The difference between AX5 and REVX Edge (O) is ₹40,000 ex-showroom, but the final difference can shift when insurance, registration and selected items change. Ask for two written quotations dated the same day and compare them line by line.
Use this six-line worksheet
- Vehicle: ex-showroom price for the exact variant and any applicable official offer.
- Government charges: registration, road tax and other mandatory charges, with the basis stated.
- Insurance: insurer, insured declared value, own-damage and third-party components, deductibles and add-ons.
- Optional items: accessories, extended warranty, service package and any additional cover, each separately priced.
- Finance: down payment, loan principal, annual interest rate, tenure, processing fee and total interest payable.
- Final payable: a single total that reconciles to the five lines above, plus the amount already paid as booking deposit.
Avoid comparing a low quoted monthly EMI with a high cash price. A longer loan can reduce the instalment while increasing total interest. Ask the lender for a repayment schedule and check whether insurance or add-ons were bundled into the financed principal.
Protect the comparison from grade confusion
The ZNG is a CNG manual at launch. A petrol automatic quotation is not a comparable engine-and-gearbox quote, even if its badge looks similar. Likewise, a generic XUV 3XO brochure might display a feature that is not fitted to your ZNG grade. Attach the specific equipment sheet to each quotation and ask for any dealer promise in writing.
Calculate the ownership budget too
Add a realistic monthly CNG estimate, occasional petrol, annual insurance, scheduled service, tyres, parking and tolls. The 24.7km/kg certified CNG number is a benchmark, not a guaranteed personal average. Test at least two mileage cases and use your local fuel prices. A cheaper grade with the features you need can beat a richer trim even when both share the same engine.
Before you sign
Check booking cancellation terms, delivery timing, price applicability, VIN allocation and whether a proposed substitution changes the final amount. Request the invoice before registration and confirm the insurance details and your name are correct. Keep copies of receipts and all written commitments.
Our advice: decide a maximum on-road spend first, then compare the four variants within it. An itemised invoice is more informative than a headline ex-showroom price or a single monthly EMI.
