Zaragoza, Spain | 16 October 2026. Stellantis and Leapmotor have marked the start of Leapmotor B10 production at Zaragoza. Their announcement dated 16 October confirms an industrial milestone in Spain, rather than simply another proposed European manufacturing project.

What has changed since the earlier plan

In its May 2026 partnership announcement, Stellantis said B10 production at Zaragoza could begin as early as 2026. The October statement moves that element from an intention to a reported production start.

Stellantis says Zaragoza was selected for its available capacity, quality and industrial expertise. The plant also produces the Opel Corsa, Peugeot 208 and Lancia Ypsilon. The partners describe the B10 project as combining Leapmotor's technology with Stellantis' manufacturing capabilities and European market experience.

What the announcement does not establish

The production-start statement does not provide an annual B10 output target, a new retail price list or a country-by-country delivery timetable. It should not be read as confirmation that every European order will immediately receive a Spanish-built vehicle.

Nor does the location alone establish a particular tariff saving or purchase incentive. Those conclusions require the applicable rules and the specification and origin of the actual vehicle being supplied. The release is about European manufacturing; it is not an Indian launch announcement.

The next useful check for a buyer

If production origin matters to a purchase, ask the supplying dealer to confirm the allocated vehicle's build details and delivery terms. A factory launch and a retail handover are different stages. Follow our automotive news section for further confirmed market developments.
