Updated variant map and price context
Hyundai’s India range has seven trims: HX2, HX3, HX3+, HX5, HX6, HX8 and HX10. The six-speed manual is listed across all seven. The Intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT) is listed with HX5, HX6, HX8 and HX10. This replaces the pre-launch variant estimates below. All variants use the announced 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, rated at 115 PS and 143.8 Nm.
The official starting ex-showroom price is ₹9,99,900. Hyundai’s online price page shows a city and variant selector, so the exact current price for a particular HX/gearbox combination should be checked there or with a dealer. We do not infer individual variant prices from the entry figure. On-road amounts also vary by location, insurance, registration and selected accessories.
When comparing trims, separate three questions: which gearbox is offered, which features are included, and what the final price is in the buyer’s city. Hyundai lists range-level highlights such as dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless smartphone integration, connected services, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat and advanced driver assistance. Those are not automatically standard across every trim. The manufacturer feature matrix is the correct place to verify each item against HX2 through HX10.
Before paying, ask for the exact variant code, transmission, equipment list, spare-wheel or mobility-kit arrangement, colour availability and an itemized on-road quotation. If a feature matters to the purchase, ask the dealer to demonstrate it on the same trim and gearbox being quoted. Our separate BAYON trim overview explains the broad range; this page focuses on the transmission and feature checks.

Pre-launch archive
The Hyundai Bayon price is the question most buyers are asking after the reveal. Hyundai has not announced prices yet and will do so at the 26 October 2026 launch. Based on reports so far, here is what to expect.
Quick Answer
Estimates currently point to an ex-showroom price of roughly Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14 lakh for the Bayon. Some earlier reports suggested a wider band, up to about Rs 16 lakh for the top variants. These are estimates only. The official variant-wise prices will be announced at launch.
Hyundai Bayon Expected Price Range
| Source type | Expected price |
|---|---|
| Most recent estimates | About Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14 lakh |
| Some earlier estimates | About Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh |
| Official price | To be announced on 26 October 2026 |
Why The Price Range Matters
The Bayon sits between the Venue and the Creta. To make sense in the line-up, it needs to be priced above the Venue and below the Creta, while staying competitive with midsize rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate and Renault Duster.
Likely Variants
Hyundai has not published the variant list. Given the engine and gearbox options, buyers can expect:
- A base variant with a petrol engine and manual gearbox
- Mid variants adding features such as a larger touchscreen and a sunroof
- Top variants with ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and the full connected-car suite
- CVT automatic versions across several trims
Ex-Showroom To On-Road Price
The ex-showroom price is only part of what you pay. The on-road price adds:
- Road tax, which varies by state
- Registration charges
- Insurance
- TCS, where applicable
- FASTag and handling charges
- Optional accessories and extended warranty
As a rough guide, the on-road price is typically noticeably higher than the ex-showroom price, and the gap depends on your city.
EMI Planning
If you plan to finance the Bayon, check three numbers: the down payment, the interest rate and the tenure. A shorter tenure raises the EMI but reduces total interest.
How Will The Bayon Compare On Value?
The Bayon brings a dual 12.3-inch display setup, connected-car features and an AI voice assistant. If the final price lands near the estimates, it could offer a lot of technology for the money. Rivals will respond with their own feature and price changes.
Quick FAQs
Is the Bayon cheaper than the Creta? It is expected to be.
Will there be a CNG Bayon? Reports suggest a factory CNG option could come, but Hyundai has not confirmed it.
Can I book before the price is announced? Yes, for Rs 11,000.
Final Word
Wait for the official price on 26 October before making a final decision. In the meantime, use the calculator to estimate your on-road price once variant prices are out.
