Updated comparison: India and Europe models
Hyundai unveiled an all-new Europe-focused BAYON at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026. The company says the new model was designed and engineered for Europe. Its initial European powertrain plan includes 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol versions with 90 PS and 115 PS; a 1.6-litre hybrid targeting 138 PS is expected later. Hyundai quotes 440 litres of boot capacity for the petrol versions and 397 litres for the hybrid, subject to final market specifications.
India’s BAYON is a separate 2026 model. It uses a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine producing 115 PS and 143.8 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual or selected-trim iVT. The Indian model is 4,245 mm long, has a 2,600 mm wheelbase and offers 505 litres of boot capacity. The difference in engine, transmission and luggage figures is a reason not to treat the two cars as one global specification with minor local changes.
The European announcement also describes its own digital features, driver assistance and equipment packages. Availability will differ by country and final homologation. European features, powertrain plans, emissions projections or launch timing should not be assumed for the Indian range unless Hyundai separately confirms them in India.
The N Line styling announced for Europe is a design-focused package with market-specific details. It is not confirmation of an India BAYON N Line variant. Buyers should check the market and model year shown on any photo, brochure or video and use the corresponding Hyundai product page. For the Indian version’s local trim availability and equipment, see our India variants guide.
