BMW Motorrad revealed the 2027 F 450 RR on 15 October 2026, adding a supersport motorcycle to its F 450 family. The US announcement lists a $7,815 MSRP, plus destination, with the M Sport launch variant expected in summer 2027.
US and Canadian plans differ
| Market | Announced price | Timing described by BMW |
|---|---|---|
| United States | US$7,815 MSRP, plus destination | M Sport market launch expected in summer 2027 |
| Canada | C$9,645 starting MSRP | Production for the Canadian market begins February 2027 |
A production-start date is different from a customer delivery date. The two currency figures also need their own local tax, fee and equipment checks before comparison.
Engine and rider equipment
The 420cc parallel-twin produces a quoted 48 hp at 8,750 rpm. BMW's Canadian release lists 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm; the US release uses 32 lb-ft. A six-speed transmission is fitted.
The US specification includes Rain, Road and Race modes, ABS Pro, traction control, heated grips and a 6.5-inch TFT display. BMW also offers an Easy Ride Clutch: it engages according to engine speed and can reduce manual clutch use, while retaining a clutch lever. Buyers should check its package availability on the actual order.
What the reveal does not establish
BMW describes a chassis and riding position developed for supersport use. Our assessment is that fit, low-speed control and everyday comfort still require a physical assessment; a launch specification cannot substitute for riding experience.
These releases establish North American plans. They do not provide an Indian price or delivery date, and converting the US MSRP into rupees would not produce one. Follow our global vehicle news for separately confirmed market announcements.
