Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the 2026 Baleno facelift at a festive introductory price of Rs. 6.09-6.10 lakh (ex-showroom), confirming nearly every detail V3Cars had exclusively reported in the weeks leading up to launch — including the new engine, the ADAS-equipped top variant, and the industry-first CNG-AMT combination.

What's New
-
New 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine (replacing the outgoing 4-cylinder K-series unit), producing 83 PS/112 Nm on petrol and 70 PS/102 Nm on CNG
-
Level 2 ADAS, exclusive to the Alpha (O) top variant
-
Ventilated front seats — a first for the Baleno
-
Painted precision-cut alloy wheels, head-up display, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, auto-folding ORVMs and a premium Clarion sound system on Alpha (O)
-
6 airbags, ESP with hill-hold, reverse parking sensors and brake assist carried as standard even on the base Sigma
Why This Matters
The Baleno facelift keeps it squarely positioned against the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Toyota Glanza, but the CNG-AMT option — once it lands — would be a genuine segment first, and the Alpha (O)'s ADAS suite pushes driver-assist tech into the premium hatchback space at a price still under Rs. 10 lakh.
